Forum that
consisted of many experienced Angel/Venture Capital investors, was
launched at IIT Roorkee Alumni 2012 N.A. Reunion in Chicago. As a first
step to a longer-term engagement, the Forum hosted a
Venture Pitchfest that was highly successful and generated a lot of
excitement
with nearly a dozen start-ups/prospects pitching their ideas for funding
or
networking or other needs. Keep tuned for more on it. The mission of IIT-R's Entrepreneur Forum is to promote entrepreneurship through networking, education, and mentoring. The objectives of the panel in 2012 Annual Reunion are:
A panel of experts judged the Venture Pitchfest and was led by Manoj Goel (profile). A Co-founder of Internet Junction (acquired by Cisco), and Mobilspan, Manoj is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who has served as an advisor to many startups with business strategy, strategic alliances, and venture introductions. Manoj is a Charter member of "The Indus Entrepreneurs" (TiE)– a global non-profit organization focused on entrepreneurs, and a Board member of IIT Roorkee Heritage Foundation. Other Panelists:
