PAN IIT 2013: Hersh Kumar’s talk on ‘How to Succeed in Business’ was a huge success!

What a talk it was… Hersh Kumar addressed a packed crowd to share his views on how to be successful in business. From his vast experience of 35 years in business, he talked about the business myths and the 21 golden rules he follows to run his multi-billion dollar enterprise. People loved the talk for its simplicity, clarity and relevance to running a successful business.

Hersh Kumar is a Houston based serial entrepreneur and an immensely successful and highly-respected businessman. He is known for several roles he has played over years. He is a motivational speaker, a business consultant, an educator, a mentor, a social entrepreneur, a social worker and a business philosopher.

Hersh has a great passion for the up-liftment of rural woman in India. Hersh has adopted several schools for young girls in India and he has taken pledge to help at least over 100,000 rural girls who have limited resources. Hersh has been donating his entire personal income to charitable causes for last eight years. Hersh created one of the largest school systems for young children in US and India. Hersh is also helping many yoga centers for development of alternative yoga therapy to treat mental illness patients.

Hersh was awarded “distinguished alumnus” award for his contribution to society by IIT Roorkee in 2011. Hersh Kumar obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Engg.) from the IIT Roorkee with a gold medal in 1978 and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.
