Ram is a Managing Director in the Capital Markets and Hedging group affiliated with Milliman's Financial Risk Management practice in Chicago. Ram was previously a Managing Director at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch, and most recently at Allstate, working in Capital Markets with a focus on structured bonds and derivatives, in New York, London, and Chicago.

Ram is a founding Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund , the Alumni Fund of IIT Bombay. He was also one of the original founding members of the PanIIT movement which began in Stamford, Connecticut in 2002.

Ram received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his BTech in EE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
