IIT-R Entrepreneur Forum: Panel on Venture Pitching and Funding
The mission of IIT-R's Entrepreneur Forum is to promote entrepreneurship through networking, education, and mentoring. The objectives of the panel in 2012 Annual Reunion are: - Help refine venture pitching skills and obtain feed-back from a seasoned panel comprised of Angel/Venture Capital (VC) investors
- Provide/obtain constructive feedback on new projects/business ventures/ideas
- Connect entrepreneurs with Angels/VC investors, with the eventual goal of obtaining funding
- Create momentum for entrepreneurship; and
- Develop a local and global network of experienced angel investors/VCs that mentor and promote new entrepreneurs
In 2012 Chicago Reunion in Chicago, a panel of experts will judge the Venture Pitchfest and will be led by Manoj Goel ( profile). A Co-founder of Internet Junction (acquired by Cisco), and Mobilspan, Manoj is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who has served as an advisor to many startups with business strategy, strategic alliances, and venture introductions. Manoj is a Charter member of "The Indus Entrepreneurs" (TiE)– a global non-profit organization focused on entrepreneurs, and a Board member of IIT Roorkee Heritage Foundation.
